Benefit Open Enrollment - What the Heck is it?

It's that time of year! Open enrollment for insurance and benefits is in progress or coming up soon for many people. I'm going to be sharing some need-to-know info and some of the options I'm considering for myself this year.

Benefit renewal happens when you or your HR representative contacts your benefits broker to get updated plan and rate information. This only applies to medical and health insurance but it's a great time to update all of your benefit packages so that all updates can be released at the same time. Once you've picked your provider and plan(s), you go into open enrollment, the time your employees have to update their benefit choices.
